The following positions are available:

Position:
International Conference Director for Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia

The role is to head a team to organize world class events on behalf of the foundation, which would include, but not limited to:

  • exhibitions and fairs;
  • festivals;
  • conferences;
  • promotions and product launches;
  • fundraising and social events.

The candidate must be able to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear communication, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Must work well under pressure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of an event.

Typical work activities include:

  • researching markets to identify opportunities for events;
  • liaising with management and stakeholders (particularly in the Government of Malaysia) to ascertain their precise event requirements;
  • producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets);
  • agreeing to and managing a budget; 
  • securing and booking a suitable venue or location;
  • ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to;
  • coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire;
  • organising facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality and the media;
  • identifying and securing speakers or special guests;
  • planning room layouts and the entertainment programme, scheduling workshops and demonstrations;
  • coordinating staffing requirements and staff briefings;
  • selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners;
  • preparing delegate packs and papers;
  • liaising with marketing and PR colleagues to promote the event; 
  • liaising with clients and designers to create a brand for the event and organising the production of tickets, posters, catalogues and sales brochures;
  • coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly;
  • overseeing the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently;
  •  post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders).

The position is for a 1 year contract.

Salary and remuneration will commensurate with proven and demonstrable experience and skills.

K & DATA MANAGEMENT ( MANAGER) – 1 VACANCY & MONITORING & EVALUAVATION ( EXECUTIVE) – 1 VACANCY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Strategy is administrative and operational executive who report to the senior-level managers of the Foundation. Partnering with all department heads as well as senior management, they identify and clarify a business’s development needs and objectives. Additionally, they monitor the progress of that firm and its competition to ensure that all goals benchmarks are met, re-evaluating and adjusting them as needed.

Strategy Executive monitors and interprets all trends that occur within Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia. Evaluating market size, competitor accomplishments and industry structures, they make recommendations to senior management to assist in the development of the Foundation’s goals. They are responsible for creating business plans for all new company subsidiaries and business ventures. Working with senior management, they refine their firm's mission and develop short- and long-term strategic business goals. Partnering with department heads, they identify and triage business development and growth opportunities. They also seek out partnership opportunities with external vendors and organizations. Once goals have been defined, they inspire and influence those across the firm to achieve them.

FINANCE SENIOR EXECUTIVE- 1 VACANCY

JOB DESCRIPTION:


To establish and maintain financial and management procedures for YIM and its subsidary. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to Foundation and Board of Trustees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Essential Skills and Experience:

Funds Management

  1. Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
  2. Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  3. Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the foundation's borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions 
  4. Maintain banking relationships
  5. Assist in determining the foundation's proper capital structure 
  6. Arrange for equity and debt financing 
  7. Invest funds 
  8. Recommend appropriate dividend issuances, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flows 

Budgeting

  1. Manage the preparation of the foundation's budget
  2. Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
  3. Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction

Financial Analysis

  1. Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the foundation
  2. Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management
  3. Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement
  4. Interpret the foundation's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
  5. Review foundation bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of foundation throughput
  6. Participate in target costing activities to create products that meeting predetermined price goals
  7. Assist in the determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricing
  8. Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
  9. Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis

Additional Accountabilities:

  1. Staff Salary - Monthly basis - check the calculations, prepare memo, get the bank documents sign by signatory.
  2. Staff Claims - Monthly- check the claims, prepare memo, get the bank document sign by signatory.
  3. Supplier & Operation Payment - Twice in a month-Check all invoices, prepare the memo, get cheques sign and hand it to all vendors/ supplier.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Human Resources (HR) / Office Operation Senior Executive will Plan, direct, and coordinate operation and human resource management activities of an organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. Also to improvise the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. The key areas of responsibility for the HR Senior Executive include:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
  • Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation;
  • Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety;
  • Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates;

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EXECUTIVE - 1 VACANCY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Information Technology Executive is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks. The Information Technology executive provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage information technology and computer systems

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
  • Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
  • operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
  • Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures

2. Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software

Main Activities

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
  • Be familiar with all hardware and software
  • Be familiar with network operating system
  • Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
  • Train staff about potential uses of existing technology

  • Install work stations
  • Connect and set up hardware

  • Monitor security of all technology
  • Install and maintain Foolproof and passwords
  • Input and maintain IP addresses
  • Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
  • Ensure installation of lock out programs
  • Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
  • Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal

4. Perform other related duties as required during working hours

The YIM: Program Kerjaya Graduan:

The YIM: Program Kerjaya Graduan is a well-planned and structured intensive training program, managed alongside with occupational qualifications, designed to help unemployed graduates gain meaningful practical working experience and mentorship from their immediate supervisors and trainers in the work environment.

This program also allows the unemployed graduates to gain meaningful practical experience in their areas of training to increases public service skills and improve employment opportunities for the unemployed.

Target:

Fresh graduates (between 0 and 12 months upon graduation)

Objectives:

  • To provide short term employment to unemployed graduates and increases their chances of employability through capacity building in innovation skills.
  • To assist fresh graduates to gain employment opportunities in Malaysia
